OREANDA-NEWS. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Indian Railways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up a greenfield Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) coach factory at Bhilwara in Rajasthan to cater to the growing demand for more local and suburban trains.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Sh. Praful Patel, Hon’ble Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India and Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways and other dignitaries. Sh. B.P. Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, BHEL and Sh. Kul Bhushan, Member Electrical, Railway Board, signed the MoU.
