OREANDA-NEWS. March 07, 2013. In 2012 an average salary in transport road sector and postal services of Ukraine grew by 13.1% and made up UAH 3 499. This was informed by a Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul during a collegium meeting at the Infrastructure Ministry. Participating in the event also were Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak, heads of profile services and enterprises.

If to consider separate branches an average salary of railroad employees grew mostly, by 14.2%. Employees of aviation branch started receiving by 10% more.

The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul set a task in 2013 to ensure a tendency of raising salary in railroad, sea and river, motor transport area, in postal services and road economies.

“The Government is creating opportunities for the development of the sector. It is the basis for new work places, salary growth, raising competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the enterprises,” Olexandr Vilkul explained.

Targeting development and modernization of the branch the Ministry will ready to the approval a series of significant legislative and normative documents: the law “On the railway transport”, the law on improvement of a system of state management of public motor roads, the law “On the motor transport”, the state programs of development of rail transport, public highways, motor transport, airports etc.

“All the decisions and projects must be elaborated and introduced openly and transparently - with attraction of leading national and international experts, taking into account interests employers and employees alike. Best world management practices must be applied here,” the Vice Premier opines. 

Olexandr Vilkul emphasized that despite stagnation of the global economy the branch had managed to preserve the showings at the level of 2011. In 2012 the branch enterprises paid UAH 21.3 bln in taxes, which is by UAH 570 mln more than in 2011.
