OREANDA-NEWS. Constructing of the new state-of-the-art Integration and Test (I&T) Facility has begun recently at Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems. The new building will be large enough to accommodate two departments dedicated to the integration and testing of spacecraft.

The new facility is being built in accordance with the world standards. Phase 1 of the industrial site which is under construction now will have a total area of 30 000 m2 and will be 30 meters high. The integration and test facility will become the largest production building ever put up by ISS-Reshetnev over its 50-year history. Such a large facility is vital, as it will enable the company to further develop a highly promising direction – the manufacture of powerful large-sized satellites.

Phase 1 of the I&T Facility is expected to be completed by 2016. It is planned that the new integration and test facility will be fully commissioned in 2020. ISS-Reshetnev is currently working on the second phase of the project in cooperation with the Sibpromproekt Institute. As well as that, the Reshetnev Company has already begun buying high-tech equipment needed for its new state-of-the-art facility.
