OREANDA-NEWS. March 06, 2013. Moldova garnered 3.7 points of 7 possible by the availability of financial services in the Global Competitiveness Report 2012–2013. This split of the rating shows a width of financial services in this or that state.

Countries are ranked depending on the 1- to -7 scale, where 7 is the best grade and 1 is the worst one. Financial services are most available in Switzerland (6.5 points); South Africa (6.4); the Great Britain (6.4); Panama (6.3); Canada (6.2); the Netherlands (6.2); Hong Kong (6.2); Luxemburg (6.2); Singapore (6.1); Sweden (6); Belgium (6) and the USA (6).

These state topped the index. Financial services are the least available in Burundi, which garnered 2.5 points. Among CIS states highest points were showed by Armenia (76th with 4.5 points), Kazakhstan (79th with 4.5 points), Georgia (100th with 3.9), Tajikistan (103rd with 3.0), Ukraine (113th with 3.8) and Russia (117th with 3.7).

Moldova, which occupied the 118th position, was followed by Azerbaijan with 3.7 points. Among CIS state financial services are the least available in Kyrgyzstan, which garnered 3.2 points and occupied the 136 position.

Moldova’s European neighbours – Romania and Bulgaria – occupied 109th and 110th lines respectively, being given 3.8 points each.
