Moscow Exchange Held Conference for Securities Issuers
OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Exchange hosted the conference "Russia"s stock market: a step forward" that attracted nearly 150 representatives of Russian companies – securities issuers.
The conference was organized to discuss new requirements and potentialities of the Russia"s law for issuing and admitting securities to trading as well as Exchange"s new listing rules associated with the novelties.
Welcoming the conference attendees, Andrey Shemetov, Deputy CEO of Moscow Exchange, said: "The established regulatory framework opens up many new opportunities for issuers. Facilitation of the securities issue procedure is a big step forward to improving the regulatory framework and existing practices for placing stocks and bonds on Moscow Exchange".
The conference speakers included Alexey Timofeev, CEO of National Stock Market Participants Association (NAUFOR), Anna Kuznetsova, Managing Director of the Moscow Exchange"s Securities Market, Mariya Krasnova, Vice President of National Settlement Depository and Ekaterina Nagaeva, Head of Issuers Supervision at Moscow Exchange.
The conference participants discussed innovations in the securities market regulation, in particular, the facilitation of securities issue and admission of securities to trading including of corporate bonds and commercial papers. Special attention was paid to the Russia"s Central Securities Depository.
