OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov held session on the issues of the performance of the National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna”.

Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” Almasadam Satkaliyev spoke on the results of company’s work in 2012 and the main objectives for the oncoming period.

According to him, last year the company achieved and even exceeded the planned level of financial and production performance.

“Completion of construction of Moynakskaya Hydro Power Station and putting into operation of the unit #8 of Ekibastuz GRES-1 Power Station allowed to start the heating season with sufficient capacity reserves,” Satkaliyev said.

In February 2013, the National Welfare Fund approved its development strategy until 2022, which is aimed at ensuring energy security, increasing the cost of equity capital and raising social responsibility, he added.
