OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2013. Mr Elman Rustamov, CBA Governor received the delegation headed by Henry Kerali, World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus.

Issues, including World Bank’s 2011-2014 Country Partnership Strategy in Azerbaijan were duscussed at the meeting. Mr Henry Kerali emphasized an active role of Azerbaijan in preparation of the Strategy and added that an interim report on the last two years will be made and key priorities of the strategy for the next two years determined.

Besides, it was mentioned that the World Bank actively supports measures taken to safeguard economic stability and ensure sustainable growth in Azerbaijan.

Effective business relations between the Azerbaijani government and World Bank were highly appreciated and current projects, including adoption of the Joint Economic Research Program discussed during the meeting.
