TNK-BP to Commission 72 MW Gas Turbine Power Plant in KhMAO
OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2013. TNK-BP informs about the start of precommissioning of a gas turbine power plant with a rated capacity of 72 MW in OJSC TNK-Nyagan.
The Company invested 5 bn rubles in the construction project. Precommissioning is ongoing, the official start-up is planned for March 26.
The Company has been implementing a large-scale program to increase the value-added use of associated petroleum gas since 2009. The program covers all the Company upstream assets in Russia and includes over 50 projects. The overall investment in the program is expected to exceed 60 bn rubles by 2015.
“Efficient use of APG is an essential part of TNK-BP's environmental policy. The Company continuously improves its production efficiency and environmental profile. By now, we have achieved 97% APG utilization level," notes Evgeny Lapshin, General Director, OJSC TNK-Nyagan.
