SGCC First Batch of Emission Approved by United Nations
OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2013. Recently, the United Nations’ website announced that SGCC’s the first phase of emission reductions (1018 tons) of in-advance distribution transformation replacement CDM project was approved by the United Nations’ Climate Change Executive Board (EB), which has become the first issued planning CDM project in China and the second in the world. At this point, SGCC’s Distribution Transformation Replacement CDM project, as China’s first planning CDM project, has successfully completed the process from registration, sub-projects bringing-in, implementation and issuing emission reductions, marking that the implementation process completely complied with the CDM project requirements.
Since SGCC started the Distribution Transformation Replacement CDM project, under the unified arrangements and cooperation of the headquarters’ departments and SGID, SGCC overcame the difficulties in project development and implementation, took conglomerate advantage to innovate and successfully completed the program under the circumstance of no successful experience for reference.
The successful implementation not only demonstrated a good corporate image in initiatively fulfilling its social responsibility in energy saving, but also demonstrated the company's rigorous and efficient management level and superior execution, leaving a deep impression on the partners of the World Bank and DOE.
In the next stage, SGCC will continue to promote the implementation of the CDM project in accordance with the relevant requirements, arrange meticulously and strengthen the training to ensure the high standards of the implementation and progress of the project.
