Central Bank of India Opened First Representative Office in Nairobi
OREANDA-NEWS. Central Bank Of India’s Kenya Representative Office was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr.Sibabrata Tripathi, High Commissioner of India, Kenya, Nairobi on 22nd February 2013, in the presence of our Bank's Chairman & Managing Director Mr. M.V.Tanksale and Executive Director Mr. Malay Mukherjee.The meeting was well attended by people from different walks of life of Nairobi. People from Indian diaspora, representatives of other indian commercial banks, local commercial banks, regulators, NRIs have attended the function in large number.
The chief guest during his inaugural address conveyed his best wishes to Central Bank of India which is running in its 102nd year and wished that the ties between both the countries would strengthen further due to presence of one of the large public sector banks of India in Kenya. Our Chairman & Managing Director during his address of the gathering informed the public that the presence of Representative Office in Kenya would help in marketing of products of parent bank and help in liaisoning with the customers to improve trade related services. The Executive Director made a presentation on bank's history and journey forward. Inauguration of our office was well appreciated among the Indian diaspora and our bank's entering the Kenyan economy was also given wide coverage in the media.
