KAMAZ Returns to Five-Day Workweek
OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC KAMAZ cancelled a four-day workweek thanks to new orders. The company will again work as usual – five days a week.
The top managers of the company decided to return to a five-day schedule in March and April 2013 in view of the large volume of orders and a favourable situation on the truck market. The workers of the main assembly conveyor of the automobile plant plan to assemble more than 4.5 thousand vehicles sets in March.
The Russian leading truck producer sets a difficult task for its staff. According to the business plan, the company plans to assemble 45 thousand vehicles this year. Besides, KAMAZ will invest more than five billion roubles in the renewal of the model range in 2013. 12 test models of the new KAMAZ-5490 long-haul tractor have already been assembled at the enterprise. The company is currently testing them.
