OREANDA-NEWS. The CCI of Russia has hosted a roundtable of the Russian-Philippine Business Council entitled “Juridical Aspects of Temporary Employment of Foreign Citizens in Russia and Full Legal Evaluation of Prospects of Russia-Philippine Labor Cooperation”.

Philippine Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Alejandro B. Mosquera, businessmen and legal experts attended the meeting.

The Philippines is the most active country in terms of migration, RPBC Chairperson Evgenya Konkol said. The republic may offer Russia highly skilled specialists – engineers, accountants and nurses - and workers with lower professional skills. Yet Russian migration rules are the same for all countries. A goal of the RPBC is to create conditions and mechanisms for attracting the needed labor force, which may have a good effect on the whole economy.

While promoting this cooperation, the Russian-Philippine Business Council advocates an improvement of normative legal acts with regard to labor migration. The RPBC wishes to become a floor for the elaboration of legislative amendments, which will modernize the legalization of Philippine labor migrants in Russia.

Therefore the Business Council has established relations with the Closed Social Network of Russian Lawyers and initiated the contest “Lawyer’s Word and View” with the subject “Juridical Aspects of Temporary Employment of Foreign Citizens in Russia and Full Legal Evaluation of Prospects of Russia-Philippine Labor Cooperation”.

The roundtable summed up results of the legal analysis of current laws. The next stage of common work will be the elaboration of normative legal acts and initiatives in the migration sphere.
