The growth of domestic traffic is due to the expansion of the Transaero route network, an increase in flight frequency to popular destinations and increased seating capacity. In particular, Transaero witnessed an increase in the volume of flight operations with wide-body Boeing 777 and 747-400 aircraft to destinations in the Russian Far East.

Passenger traffic on Transaero's international flights has increased by 18.8%.

In 2012 the volume of passengers transported between Russia and the US grew by 73% over same figure of 2011.

In 2012 Transaero continued to concentrate its efforts on development of its scheduled flights segment while minimizing its charter flights operations. The number of the airline’s scheduled flights performed in 2012 grew by 31.1%, while the number of charter flights fell by 1.4%. Scheduled flights accounted for 90% of all Transaero flights and accounted for about 90% of the overall passenger traffic.

Transaero Airlines has announced scheduled flights to new destinations with France and Italy being among the most recent announcements.

Transaero has consistently pursued a policy of converting charter flights to scheduled services. This is of particular importance for passengers who have got an opportunity to buy airline tickets in all service classes on the Transaero web-site and through Transaero accounts in social networks.

Today, Transaero charter flights are operated only to destinations where scheduled flights are not allowed because of current intergovernmental agreements between Russia and foreign countries. Transaero looks forward to further progress in liberalization of international air traffic regulations for the benefit of the Russian travelers.
