OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2013. Representatives of Czech energy efficiency and renewable sources development companies to come to Chisinau with business mission in March, 2013.

This was arranged at a sitting of the Moldovan-Czech Energy Cooperation Agreement, held in Chisinau. Members of the commission shared information about development of energy systems and specified facets of bilateral cooperation.

Head of Energy Safety and Efficiently Department of the Ministry of Economy of Moldova Vadim Ceban introduced Czech representatives the Energy Strategy of Moldova 2030. The Strategy is based on three key priorities - assurance of energy safety and reliability, creation of the competitive energy market and establishment of foundations for sustainable development of the national energy market.

Ceban noted that Moldova had committed to gradually implement the EU directives concerning the energy area and to become an important player in the region, besides being an importer and a consumer of energy sources. Czech co-chair of the commission, director of the Gas and Liquefied Fuel Department of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic Jan Zaplatilek agreed that our states have a lot of common points in both: the area of trade cooperation and the field of technical support and exchange of experience at the official level.
