OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2013. On the commission of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul, Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services Hennadiy Temnyk held an operative exit meeting to consider issues of technical state of dams of Bortnychy aeration station situated near Kyiv.

Hennadiy Temnyk noted that situation with Bortnychy aeration station is under constant control. The Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services, KMSA and profile scientific research departments carried examination of the object and reasons for emergency situations were not revealed. 

“There are not threats posed to the environmental safety. There exists local abscission of escarpment of dams. In order to hold technical expertise three scientific institutes were attracted, so, on the conclusions the technical state of constructions will be determined. Also, on the results of the meeting a decision was taken that by March 5, 2013 the contractor who performed works in fortification of dams is obliged to perform respective works at their own cost in order to bring the state of dams in compliance with the project decisions,” Hennadiy Temnyk stressed.

The meeting was also attended by head of State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies Mykhaylo Bolotskykh, First Deputy Head of KMSA Olexandr Mazurchak, director of Department of housing and communal infrastructure of KMSA Dmytro Novystkyi, director of Direction for capital building and reconstruction Kyivbudreconstruction Ivan Dvorak, head of board of AK Kyivvodokanal Valeriy Chenchevyi, head of State environmental inspection in Kyiv Viktor Pavlenko etc.
