OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2013. The delegation headed by the Chairman of Subcommittee for Europe and Eurasia of the House of Representatives of United States Congress Dana Rohrabacher met with the chairperson of Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan I.Sobirov and the speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan D.Tashmuhamedova.

During the meeting, it was noted that the relationship between Uzbekistan and the United States has been developing also in the parliamentary system.

The current visit of the US delegation is a logical extension of the process of a phased development of the relations between our countries, further strengthening the linkages between the parliaments of the two countries. The sides exchanged views on issues of further expansion and strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The members of the US delegation also held negotiations at the ministries and departments of the country.
