BLIZKO Payment System Lowers Charges for Customers by 25%
OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2013. The BLIZKO Payment System operated by Sviaz-Bank has lowered charges on money transfer services by an average of 25% across the board – on transfers across Russia and to other countries.
Commission charged on transfers made across Russia now averages 1% of the amount transferred, and around 1.5% to countries that were former U.S.S.R. republics.
The transfer service will cost still less on large amounts. For example, a customer transferring USD15,000 from Russia to Kyrgyzstan will only pay USD 75 (0.5% of the amount transferred), or, in another example, 450,000 rubles can be transferred to anywhere in Russia for 1,500 rubles (or 0.35% of the amount).
“The BLIZKO Payment System is making efforts to enlarge its market share by expanding its network of points of sale and offering readily available services to customers using them and flexible rate scales, and also by actively developing remote sale channels,” says Andrei Laikov, CEO of the BLIZKO Payment System.
In 2012, the BLIZKO network expanded sevenfold from 2011, to 49,600 from 7,100 points of sale.
