OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2013. Positive growth tendency is observed in electron banking transactions in the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) in 2007-2012.

Thus, if 243,8 thousand transactions in the amount of 9,9 million manats were conducted through entire electron banking means in 2007, then this figure respectively amounted to 464,9 thousand transactions and 14,1 million manats in 2012. Generally, according to results of 2007-2012, 2.591 thousand transactions in the amount of 76,8 million manats were conducted through electron banking.

94,5% of all transactions conducted in 2012 regards to mobile communication payments (number of transactions increased by 3,8% in comparison to 2011). Generally, Customers have conducted 439 thousand transactions through electron banking in 2012 in order to pay mobile communication fees, total amount of such payments amounted to 2.63 million AZN. Number of stationery communication payments increased by 83,4% and their amount increased by 3 times in 2011.

Major part (72%) of the total amount of electron banking transactions in 2012 regards to Card Transfer transactions and 18,6% regards to the payment of mobile communication fees.

Major part of electron transactions in 2012 has been performed through ATMs and InternetBank service. 90% of transactions were conducted through the ATMs, major part of money traffic (44%) was made through InternetBank service.

The IBA traditionally pays special attention to the development of electron banking services. The Bank is constantlyworking to improve the existing and introduce new services. Today, the IBA customers may check balance, acquire receipt, make transfers from their account, pay for public utility services, Internet, mobile and stationery communication without visiting the Bank through ATMs, computer and mobile phones. Cash by Code, Cash In, Cash to any Card, VISA Personal Payments, PIN Set, PIN Activation services are deemed to be the most modern services offered by the IBA to its customers. These services helpsave time and thus, are in demand by customers.

International Bank of Azerbaijan is planning to significantly expand therange of its electron banking services with high safety level in 2013 in order to provide customers with higher level of services and establish new banking products.
