Moldovan Export of Alcoholic Products 20% Down
OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2013. In 2012 wine export increased 8%, divin export growing 87% as compared with 2011, the Marketing and International Relations Department under the Agriculture Ministry reports. The growth in the divin export was formed by bigger exports to Russia, Ukraine and the USA.
In 2012 Moldova was the leading exporter of alcoholic products to Belarus. Close to 75% of alcoholic products are said to have been exported to CIS states in 2012. The major importer of Moldovan wine and divin was Russia, which opened the new customs terminal in Bryansk to simplify the customs clearance for Moldovan wine.
As compared with 2011, wine deliveries grew to Kazakhstan and Belarus, but decreased to Ukraine. EU imported over 15% of Moldovan alcoholic product exported. Moldovan wine was asked for most in Poland, Czech republic and Romania. In 2012 the most popular with consumers was red ordinary wines, which were exported at a sum of USD40 mln.
