OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Chemicals (TCL), which launched India's first national branded pulses and salt, Tata I-Shakti, has been conferred the 'Emerging Brand Award' at the prestigious 'Brand Leadership Awards 2013' instituted by the 'World Brand Congress'. Furthermore, Ashvini Hiran, COO (Consumer Products Business), TCL, has been bestowed the '50 Most Talented Brand Leaders of India Award' at the awards ceremony held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, in the presence of dignitaries from the industry.
The World Brand Congress is a revered forum where the world's top marketing professionals come together every year and are felicitated for the success of their brands and marketing strategies. The congress was represented by top-notch marketers from more than 75 companies across various sectors in India. The objective of the congress was to bring together the top marketing leaders under one roof to discuss today's critical marketing challenges, as well as to honour the best performers for their contribution.
Elated upon receiving the prestigious awards, Mr Hiran, under whose leadership the Tata I-Shakti brand continues to grow immensely, said, "It is indeed an honour to receive the Brand Leadership Award. This award is recognition of the remarkable progress Tata I-Shakti has made in establishing itself as one of the emerging brands in the country. We continue our endeavour of providing Indian households superior quality unpolished pulses."
TCL had launched India's first national brand of pulses — Tata I-Shakti Dals — in December 2010, with five popular varieties of pulses, ie, chana, toor, urad, moong and masoor. Tata I-Shakti Dals is now available in 21 states.
