OREANDA-NEWS. NEC Corporation is providing its "Smart Mobile Cloud" services for smart devices, including smartphones and tablets, in support of "Online-to-Offline" (O2O) verification tests by NTT DOCOMO, INC. that begin for the carrier's "shoppulatto" service.

In recent years, along with the rapid expansion of smartphones and the development of sensor technologies, efforts have been intensifying to tie the purchasing habits of Internet users (online customers) with the purchasing habits of shoppers at brick-and-mortar stores (offline customers).

NEC's "Smart Mobile Cloud" services promote this O2O movement by supporting NTT DOCOMO's O2O field trials.
