Latvian Companies May Share Experience with Moldovan Business
OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2013. Latvian companies may share their experience in the area of innovations with Moldovan business and support companies of Moldova in developing the quality infrastructure, - Octavian Calmic. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy of Moldova at the opening ceremony for the Moldovan-Latvian business forum. According to him, agriculture, the key branch of the national economy of Moldova, may become a main area of cooperation between the Moldovan and the Latvian real sector. Infrastructure and technical support projects are of no less importance, he added.
“Through adoption of the experience in the quality infrastructure development, domestic enterprises will be able to benefit from all advantages of DCFTA”, the Deputy Economy Minister of Moldova said. According to him, bilateral trade between Moldova and Latvia is constantly growing and has reached 15 million euros by the end of 2012. The export of Moldova is oriented at markets with more developed purchasing power, Octavian Calmic noted. He pointed out that cooperation with Latvia is important for diversification of markets of Moldova.
The Moldovan-Latvian forum was organized by Moldova’s Investment and Export Promotion organization (MIEPO) in partnership with the Latvian Investment Agency and occasioned to the visit of Premier of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis to Moldova.
