Government of Ukraine Implements Reforming Healthcare Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2013. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced on Facebook that the Government's policy is aimed to modernize the healthcare industry and provide the public with quality services and medicines.
Mykola Azarov talked that there are many modern medical institutions in Ukraine, including the National Cancer Institute, the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Endocrine Surgery, Endocrine Organs and Tissues Transplant, on the modernization of which he personally took the decision.
"I’ve not just visit the National Cancer Institute, I took a number of decisions to modernize the institution. Now there is a modern operation room in the Institute, purchased diagnostic medical equipment, and each year are allocated substantial funds to continue the work associated with the creation of the modern oncology center," Mykola Azarov said, assuring at the same time that the Government has paid and will pay attention to the development of this institute.
According to him, the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Endocrine Surgery, Endocrine Organs and Tissues Transplant is a modern facility that is equipped with the best of modern diagnostic tools and equipment. "And most importantly, good professionals, enthusiasts are working here. There are many people suffering from diabetes in our country and therefore the presence of such a modern diagnostic and treatment facilities will improve the quality of life, and sometimes save life of our people. And the knowledge that you are at some extent involved in the creation of such a center already makes you happy," said the Prime Minister.
In this case, Mykola Azarov stressed that on his initiative will be addressed the feasibility of drugs for people suffering from diabetes, according to the scheme of compensation.
In addition, the Prime Minister said, the Government is monitoring the situation regarding the implementation of the Law of Ukraine on the licensing of imports of medical products that will ensure getting into the pharmacy quality medicines. "Here the problem is to restore order in the availability in our market only high quality drugs, which our people could buy at normal prices," Mykola Azarov said.
