OREANDA-NEWS. The State Council recently approved the proposed Caofeidian Economic and Technological Development Zone, in Tangshan, Hebei province. The zone’s planners came up with a grand development blueprint in 2012, to build it into Hebei province’s No 1 spot for economic growth. And it has had some remarkable achievements in its economy, politics, culture, society, and ecological development, coordinated with its primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. Total production at Caofeidian in 2012 amounted to 35.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent.

Chen Xuejun, the Caofeidian Party secretary, said the zone needs to, “consider development as its primary task, and consider system construction and industrial support most important in becoming a No 1 site for economic growth”. Chen went on to announce that the zone recently suggested 10 projects to improve its economic development, port logistics, investment, and infrastructure, for a more prosperous society.
