OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, a European mobile operator, and AUCHAN hypermarket chain have started cooperation. Tele2 Russia kits will appear on AUCHAN counters in eight Russian regions.

Visitors of the popular AUCHAN chain will be able to purchase Tele2 SIM-cards in the shops located in Voronezh, Krasnodar, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Chelyabinsk.

Tele2 starter kits will be placed on counters in AUCHAN hypermarket aisles. Customers will be able to finalize the starter contract and activate SIM-cars in the stores’ customer department.

Cooperation with AUCHAN came as extension of the federal program on distribution development implemented by Tele2 Russia.

Apart from monobrand stores, Tele2 is also developing partnership with regional and federal retail chains. Tele2 is a partner of such large retail chains as Svyaznoy, Euroset and Eldorado. The company is cooperating with the Russian Post and Rospechat (periodicals distributor). In 2012, Tele2 has signed agreement with Eldorado electronics hyper- and supermarkets and Magnit, one of major Russian food and essentials retailers.

Inessa Galaktionova, chief commercial officer at Tele2 Russia:

“We are striving to be closer to our subscribers and therefore offer not only low-cost and high-quality mobile services but also confortable customer care. AUCHAN hypermarkets are quite popular among Russians who got used to saving. Just like AUCHAN visitors, Tele2 subscribers do not like to overpay and prefer cost-conscious shopping. I am quite sure that AUCHAN clients will appreciate high-quality and low-cost mobile services.”
