OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in December, 2012 as compared with December, 2011 it decreased 3.7%. In 2012 production in the mining industry grew 0.8%. At the same time, the processing industry and the energy sector (generation and distribution of electricity and heat) saw the decline of 3% and 4.4% respectively.

In 2012 it was produced 1.7% less foodstuffs and beverages than in 2011. The decline was formed by 25.4% less amounts of production of the flour-grinding industry, 24.4% decreased in fruit and vegetable processing and canning, 18.9% decline in fish canning, and 3.4% decline in bread-making and production and bakery and 1% decrease in winemaking. In this period production and processing of meat grew 14.7%, statistics show.

Dairy production increased 7.2%, production of mineral water and soft drinks increased 3.4%, vegetable oil and fat production increased by 1.8%, production of cacao, chocolate and saccharine confectionary increased by 0.9%. In 2012 production of electrical machines and equipment increased 36.7%, production of tele- and communications devices grew 12.4%; it was produced 4.4% more textiles and 6.8% more medical devices, precious and optical instruments. Production of chemicals increased 2.6%.

Production of other non-metal mineral products (glass, items of concrete, gypsum and cement), increased 2%. At the same time, in this period it was produced 23.9% less garments; 20.4% less tobacco goods, 19.3% less paper and cardboard. Production of poligraphy and printed materials decreased 15.4%.

A decline made up 13.9% in the metallurgic industry. A decrease made up 13.3% in the metallurgic industry, 12.4% in production of machines and equipment. Production of leather, leather items and foot wear dropped 11.5%. Amounts of woodworking decreased 9.3%, hot water and steam generation declined 5.3%. Power generation and distribution dropped 3.7%.
