KEGOC Summs up Creativity Competition Among Journalists
OREANDA-NEWS. Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) JSC holds an annual competition for journalists of print, electronic and Internet mass media in order to draw attention to issues affecting the development of the electric power sector and cover the system operator’s activity.
The competition for 2012 was open to journalists publishing materials in Kazakh or Russian between January 1 and December 20, 2012.
Officially, six nominations applications from the mass media were received. Thirty-four materials were reviewed as part of the competition’s search for “the best coverage of socially significant projects in the electric power industry”.
The winning nominations in the seven categories are:
1) “Best material” – Zhylkybay Zhagyparuly, journalist, Egemen Kazakhstan newspaper.
2) “Fairness” – Kursiv newspaper editorial staff, for several publications about current procedures in the electric power industry.
3) “Reliability” – Liter daily newspapereditorial staff, for several publications about projects on the development of the electric power industry.
4) “Interview” – D. Duysenbay, journalist, Halyk sozy newspaper.
5) “Information support” – the editorial staff of BNews.kz information portal.
6) “Effectiveness” – the editorial staff of KazTAG information agency.
7) “Network promotion” – A. Toregulov, blogger.
