Salut Is Gearing up Production
OREANDA-NEWS. The last year 2012 was marked for FSUE “Gas-Turbine Engineering RPC “Salut” by big volumes of work that were to be implemented under existing contracts. The company had been consistently stepping up its output capability in terms of aircraft engine manufacturing, overhaul and servicing activities.
The bottomline of Salut's deliveries to the customers in 2012 comprised 105 AL-31F engines and their variants, more than 33 engines of AI-222-25 design, 12 sets of units for D-436 and 3 turbopump assemblies (TNA-150) for air-refueling platforms. A 22.7% increase in revenues was achieved in 2012 as compared to 2011.
Additionally, more than 100 aircraft engines underwent comprehensive overhaul and servicing procedures at Salut's central facility in Moscow and its “P.I. Baranov OMO” affiliate.
The year came to a close with 100% fulfillment of on-going contractual obligations and the annual output per one employee evaluated at 1 492 thousand rubles (a 23.1% improvement on the previous year).
Further augmentation of production volumes is being envisaged in 2013. The target production figures for various modifications of AL-31F engine are to reach 115 units, along with the planned requirement of AI-222-25 engines of around 60 units.
There is also a project underway for the supply before the year-end of two GTD 20/12 power plants in pursuance of the partnerships with LLC “Gazprom dobycha Nadym” and NGKM “Bovanenkovo”, active partakers in the domestic oil and gas branch.
