OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2013. An updated version of Pargi.ee (3.0), a parking app officially supported by EMT, has been released today. Pargi.ee helps you park your car in all open parking zones across Estonia, reported the press-centre of EMT.

Based on the user’s location, the app shows detailed information on nearby parking zones (location on the map, address, service provider, paid parking hours, parking rates). The app updates parking zones and changes in parking rules automatically. Pargi.ee can store up to 5 license plates and your parking transactions for the last six months, it’s multilingual, and it has an option to set up limits and reminders. The app works both over Wifi and mobile networks, but if Wifi is not available, the car is parked by SMS and parking is stopped with a phone call.

„The app makes parking much easier, as you no longer have to look for parking signs or know the location of parking zones by heart – the app does all the work by showing you the correct parking zone based on your current location. You can also view your location and nearby parking zones on the map. You can opt-in to receive a push notification reminder prior to your parking expiring, based on the preconfigured interval value. Additionally, you can set a cap on the parking cost. When the cap is reached and you ignore the notification, the parking session is ended automatically. Now your car will not be accidentally left parked overnight, like it has happened to me several times when I’ve parked by SMS,” says Holger Haljand, Head of Mobile Applications Area at EMT.

„Pargi.ee users should switch to the new 3.0 version as soon as possible, as the content of the old app will no longer be updated“, Holger Haljand added.

EMT’s parking app Pargi.ee is now available for Android and iOS devices at Google Play and AppStore; the Windows version will be released in the coming months.
