Kamyshansky Pit Receives DML-1200 Drilling Machine
OREANDA-NEWS. Kamyshansky open-pit colliery operated by SUEK-Kuzbass surface mine administration received a new high-performance DML-1200 blasthole drill (US) worth 44.3 mln rubles.
The drill's technical performance helps get a twofold or greater increase in the volume of areas drilled per shift. The delivered depth is up to 45 m with the hole diameter of 261 mm. The operator's cab is air-conditioned. For operation in the harsh wintry environment of Siberia there is a diesel-fired preheater for the engine, the fuel filter, the fuel tank and the engine oil pan. The new drill has a remote control panel. The machine is equipped with the "Surface Mine" system technology, a winch with the hoisting power of 1,800 kg, and miscellaneous tools required for quality drilling. This is the second drill of the sort used at operations governed by SUEK-Kuzbass surface mine administration.
Shortly, they expect arrival of a new high-performance hydraulic backhoe excavator PC-2000 by Komatsu for overburden stripping. The excavator's bucket capacity is 12 m3, its overburden removal capacity is up to 400,000 m3 per month. Moreover, PR-764 bulldozers (Liebherr) are to be purchased under the investment project.
