RusRating Assigned Credit Rating to KB Nevastroiinvest
OREANDA-NEWS. RusRating has assigned a credit rating to KB Nevastroiinvest (St. Petersburg). The rating is “B” on the national scale and “CCC+” on the international scale, in both cases with a stable outlook.
According to the agency, the rating is based on high capital adequacy, healthy earnings performance, low risks to creditworthiness and moderate sensitivity to credit risks.
Constraining factors include narrow lines of business, underdeveloped market positions, and above-average risks arising from concentration by individual client on both sides of the balance sheet (exposure to large-scale credit risks and major creditors).
KB Nevastroiinvest is a smaller bank that up until 2008 operated in the Republic of Daghestan and now does business in St. Petersburg. Its core line of business is the provision of loans to smaller and mid-sized enterprises. The Bank is not active in retail, conducts no currency transactions and is not involved in speculative activity. Its strategy calls for further expansion of SME services and microfinancing. KB Nevastroiinvest is also working towards receipt of a retail banking license and membership in the federal deposit insurance programme.
