OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2013. Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat attended the official launch of the joint technological e-government M-Cloud platform, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Attending the event were the head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Ambassador Dirk Schuebel, the director general of the e-government centre from Moldova, Stela Mocan, the director general of the European Commission's Directorate General for Informatics (DIGIT), Francisco Garcia Moran and the architect, World Bank expert, Arthur Riel.

Filat thanked all of those who implement informational technologies in order to improve the Moldovan government’s performance.

“It is a rather important event, which highly defines our e-government goal. The implementation of informational technologies is meant to increase the efficiency and improve the access to our government. Thus, the Moldovan state would be able to offer Moldovan citizens unlimited access, regardless of time and space, to low-cost information and services,” Filat said.

For his part, the deputy director of the e-government centre, Iurie Turcau, made a presentation of the electronic M-Cloud platform’s functioning scheme.
