OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2013. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov met with the founders of "European-Ukrainian business federation" (EUBF) Michael Kraus, Cornelius Granig, Gabriel Lansky and Bernhard Krumpl. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Igor Prasolov, Ukrainian Ambassador to Austria Andriy Bereznyi and head of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Information Volodymyr Semynozhenko.

Organization, which was founded by reputable Austrian businessmen and lawyers and supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria was registered in Vienna (Austria). It aims to promote the interests of the Austrian and other European companies in Ukraine and Ukrainian companies - in Austria and Europe.

Mykola Azarov supported the EUBF’s intention to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine on a practical economic level and improve communication about the conditions of doing business in Ukraine. He suggested that in the near future, the European-Ukrainian business federation together with the Government of Ukraine developed a joint program of multi-level communications in a variety of sectors, humanitarian and legal spheres, which can be implemented in 2013 year.

The Prime Minister stressed that the policy of association with the European Union has strategic importance for Ukraine. In this case, the association is considered as the "road map" of reforms in the country that will lead it to the standards of the European Union.

In this movement, the most important component is the structural modernization of economy and the concomitant rise in living standards. Therefore, the Government of Ukraine implements new economic policy aimed at both the development of domestic production and consumption, and on the support of Ukrainian exports. "In solving these problems, the promotion of mutual interests, which is aim of the European-Ukrainian business federation, can play a very important role," said the Prime Minister.

At the same time the Head of Ukrainian Government expressed the conviction that Austria could be more proactive regarding Ukraine’s European integration, and in this regard, he expressed the hope that the established European-Ukrainian business federation will be an important tool in achieving this goal.
