World Bank Assesses Cadastral System of Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2013. In Ukraine the mission of the World Bank to support the implementation of the investment project "The issuance of state acts on land ownership in rural areas and the development of the inventory" continues its work. The World Bank representatives carry a preliminary inspection and will assess the cadastral system of Ukraine.
Mission experts led by Malcolm Childress, Land Administration Specialist at World Bank, check the progress of the Project, which was founded in 2004. As all the tasks stipulated by the project must be completed before April 30, 2013 - the date of the completion of its implementation provided in the Loan Agreement, this is last visit. The World Bank carries out regular missions to review the implementation of projects through loans.
As of today, automated cadastral information system is installed throughout the country. The electronic cadastral information system project involves a number of components in order to provide better services to the owners of land with the assistance of the better land management and administration.
Within 6.9 million shares of land: 98.6% of certificates of ownership of the land share were issued, 96.7% of state acts on the ownership of the land were formed, 94% of state certificate were issued to owners. All data on the ownership of the land were entered into the automated cadastral system.
Aerial photography and production of orthophoto maps, index cadastral maps was done almost on the whole territory of Ukraine
Nine universities have existing courses on land management and administration after receiving modern equipment for land management and cadastral works.
