OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2013. Premier Mykola Azarov forecasts that in 2015 IT-branch can make up not less than 10% of GDP. He announced in the course of a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“It is real that in 2015 this economic sector can make up not less than 10% of GDP. In such a way we can reduce vulnerability of Ukrainian economics, traditional raw material branches to external risks,” Mykola Azarov emphasized and added that growth of IT industry’s share in the gross domestic product of Ukraine is the way of structural modernization of our economics and stirring up economic boost under conditions of world economic slump.

The Premier stressed that IT-branch is one of the locomotives of the national economy.

He commissioned the First Vice Premier Serhiy Arbuzov to take issues of draft law “On making changes to section XX “Transition provisions” of the Tax Code of Ukraine with regards to peculiarities of taxation of subjects of software production” under his personal supervision.
