Ukraine to Train Tax Militiamen for CIS States
OREANDA-NEWS. February 13, 2013. National University of SPSU (State Patrol Service of Ukraine) can acquire a status of basis educational institution of training and retraining personnel for tax(financial) investigation institutions of the CIS countries. This was announced by first deputy head of SPSU, head of tax militia Andriy Holovach.
“One of the outcomes of 2012 appears improvement of international cooperation of the tax militia of Ukraine. In particular, in September our country headed Coordination Council of heads of tax (financial) investigation departments of CIS states which confirms authority of Ukrainian tax service among foreign colleagues,” Andriy Holovach stressed.
According to the head of tax militia, issues of setting up a respective educational institution on the base of National SPSU University will be considered in the course of a sitting of the Coordination Council of heads of tax (financial) investigation departments of CIS states planned for February 14 – 15, 2013. Also during the mentioned event representatives of tax militia of CIS and Europe will tackle issues of setting up and functioning of a single database containing information about figurants who appear in view of tax (financial) investigations. However, participants of the meeting are to consider a mechanism of organization of probation of personnel aiming exchange with practical experience.
In 2012 Ukraine also acquired membership in CARIN (The Camden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network) organization which is an international network which targets cooperation among the states directed to revelation, arrest and depriving of illicit profits.
It should be noted that with Order of the President of Ukraine №726/2012 of December 24, 2012 the Ministry of Incomes and Fees was set up by means of reorganization of State Tax Service of Ukraine and State Customs Service of Ukraine with transition of a function of administration of single tax for compulsory state social insurance to the newly set up Ministry.
