OREANDA-NEWS. February 13, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Property Management Committee of the Authority of the Volokolamsk Municipal District of the Moscow Region and the Head of the Volokolamsk Municipal District of the Moscow Region upon signs of violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”– exercising actions that create unequal opportunities for economic entities for buying a land plot for constructing retail facilities, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon a petition from a physical person that the authorities had failed to designate a reasonable period for the interested persons to react to the information published in a local about the forthcoming lease of a land plot in Ostashevo village of the Volokalamsk region to construct a store.

Depriving economic entities of equal opportunities for purchasing the land plot for store construction prevents their entry to the market and as a consequence may restrict competition.

The Commission’s meeting is scheduled on 18th February 2013.
