OREANDA-NEWS. February 13, 2013. The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) and “Asia House”, authoritative business organization of the United Kingdom signed an agreement which grants “Champion Supporter” status to the IBA. According to the information of the IBA, main purpose of “Asia House” organization founded in 1996 is the establishment of relationships between business and public circles of Europe and Asia, reported the press-centre of IBA.

BP, “Shell”, “Barclays Capital”, “Deutsche Bank”, KMPG, HSBC, “Rolls-Royce”, “British American Tobacco” and other well-known British and international companies are among members of “Asia House”.

The IBA cooperates with “Asia House” for several years. By acquiring “Champion Supporter” status, the IBA will be one of primary partners of organization and earn the right to participate in strategic decision of the institution.

It should be noted that a number of British business delegations made visits to Baku organized by the IBA and under the auspices of “Asia House”. Jahangir Hajiyev, IBA manager has been admitted to the membership of International Council of the Chamber. The IBA has arranged “Caspian Corridor Conference” in November last year in London with the support and participation of “Asia House”. Purpose of the conference was an acquaintance of United Kingdom’s business circles with economy and culture of Azerbaijan.
