Environmentally-Friendly KAMAZ Vehicles
OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ’s representatives participated in a meeting of the board of Tatarstan’s Ministry of Transport and Roads devoted to last year’s performance of Tatarstan’s transport complex and tasks for 2013.
KAMAZ was represented by Oleg Ershov, General Director of Leasing Company KAMAZ Inc., and Rafael Batyrshin, General Director of RariTEK – KAMAZ’s distributor of gas-powered vehicles. Also, Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the meeting on a wider use of CNG city buses. He believes these vehicles contribute to economic and ecological advancement in the cities. But the wide use of NGVs requires infrastructure. As a result, Rustam Minnikhanov charged Tatarstan’s Ministry of Transport with introducing NGVs.
In its turn, KAMAZ is ready to offer CNG vehicles which are in high demand nowadays. Thus, Rafael Batyrshin demonstrated several models of gas-powered vehicles to the participants of the meeting. There were a prime mover KAMAZ-65116 running on compressed natural gas, a suburban bus NEFAZ-5299-11-31, a city bus NEFAZ-5299-30-31 at the exhibition. The participants of the meeting learned how to service, store and operate CNG vehicles. Besides, the company showed its new product – a small-class city bus with a Marcopolo body on a KAMAZ-3297 chassis with a diesel ICE.
