OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) signed an agreement of mutual cooperation with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.

Under the agreement, BTMU will hold discussions with the university over a cooperative framework in various areas with the aim of strengthening the foundation of human resources in Asia. As part of this effort, we are considering providing our overseas employees with career building opportunities through study at the university.

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is a private university founded in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, in 2000. It is known for its distinctive international educational settings, with nearly half the students coming from other countries. Students from Asian countries account for approximately 90 percent of nearly 2,500 overseas students from 80 countries. The university hopes that this multicultural and multilingual environment will help students deepen mutual understanding of other countries and become leaders who will contribute to creating a new future for the Asia and Pacific region.

Under the tie-up agreement with the university, BTMU will actively support the training of global-minded people who are willing to take on challenges and share in activities involving various languages, cultures and values. We will strive to solidify the foundation of human resources for expansion of our businesses in Asia, to meet the range of needs of BTMU customers operating in the region, and to provide financial services of the highest quality.
