OREANDA-NEWS. In 2012, throughput of Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC amounted to 1.5 mln tons, up 7%, year-on-year, press center of the stevedoring company informs.

 The company’s import increased by 14% to 265,000, export – by 16% to 1.04 mln tons, transshipment of coastal trade cargo fell by 32%, to 176,000 tons.

 Transshipment of dry bulk cargo increased by 8% to 898,000, containerized cargo – fell by 23% to 17,000 TEUs, liquid bulk cargo – down 10% to 254,000 tons, general cargo – up 19% to 325,000 tons.

 In the 12 month period the company handled 17,068 wagons and 458 vessels.
