OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2013. The President stands for the establishment of permanent Ukrainian-Lithuanian business forum. It was stated by Viktor Yanukovych at the meeting with Lithuanian business representatives in Vilnius.

“We have set a task to establish permanent business forum between our countries,” the President noted adding that he had discussed the given issue with Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius.

According to the President, the given business forum must efficiently elaborate mechanisms and create instruments of cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries. “Our common goal is to provide conditions for the development of business in the two countries,” the Head of State said.

The President emphasized that Ukraine would like national business to have access to the market of Lithuania. He also stressed that Ukraine was interested in the joint work with Lithuania at markets of the third countries.

In his turn, the Prime Minister of Lithuania offered Ukrainian companies to take advantage of Lithuanian favorable business climate. He also stressed that Ukraine was an important trade partner of Lithuania. “In 2012, Lithuanian export to Ukraine grew by 25%,” he noted.

Lithuanian Prime Minister expressed support to the dialogue between Ukraine and the EU and to the steps of Ukraine aimed at strengthening of energy security.
