OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2013. To revitalize the mortgage market in "MEGABANK" an action starts "Spring in the new house." On the situation in the mortgage market, terms of new action and the benefits thereof told the deputy chairman of the Board of "MEGABANK" Victoria Podgornaya, reported the press-centre of MEGABANK.

- Victoria Victorovna, please tell me whether there is today in Ukraine as a whole and in the Kharkov region in particular, demand for mortgage loans?
- Throughout the past year in the area of lending to individuals for the purchase of real estate there was certain stagnation. This is due primarily to the fact that most of the banks that make loans, hold relatively high interest rates. And people, who want to buy housing, today do not have enough money to bear the cost of such expensive loans.

- Which mortage condition is offering today "MEGABANK"?
- To promote this loan product on the market "MEGABANK" offers its customers an action called "Spring in the new house," which is conducted in cooperation with the construction company "Megainveststroy".

From our experience we know that today housing loans are taken by those who have collected at least 50% of the required amount.  For the missing sum, people often turn to the bank, not to wait for a long time, while the rest is gathered up. We decided to meet these customers, and therefore launched this action. Its advantage is that in the first half year of using the credit resources of "MEGABANK" a low interest rate of 16% in local currency is set up.  Such credit is valid for 20 years, and people can decide for how long they will be able to repay it. All, of course, depends on the financial capacity. After a year and a half the interest rate will be raised to market levels.

- Which houses is it all about?
-  Within the action we propose to issue loans to buy housing in the new building on the streets of Verhnyaya Gievskaya and Feuerbach. These houses have already been commissioned. Also in action are involved two homes that are nearing completion and will be commissioned this year. They are located on the street of Mehanizatorskaya and avenue of the 50th anniversary of the VLKSM.

- Which class are these houses?
- The houses on streets Verhnyaya Gievskaya and Feuerbach are of economy-class. In these houses there are one-and two-bedroom apartments of not very large area at competitive prices. The apartments which are located on the street Mehanizatorskaya and avenue of the 50th anniversary of the VLKSM – these are one and three rooms apartments.

- Does "MEGABANK" have experience of cooperation with "Megainveststroy" on similar programs?
- Yes it does. With "Megainveststroy" we are working closely on housing loans, which the company is building, since 2006. The first joint project, which launched in lending to primary residence, was called "Solar house". Today, the house is put into operation; a fairly large number of occupants of the house used or still use credit, issued in "MEGABANK". And we gave credit to people buying an apartment in this house, and for repairs in these apartments.

- How long has the company "Megainveststroy" been working on the market of Kharkov?
- Yes, this company was founded in 2003 to perform construction engineering to meet the population's demand for quality and durable housing. During its activity "Megainveststroy" has developed a number of individual projects for the construction of multi-storey residential buildings in Kharkov. - The action starts February 11 and will last till May 31, 2013.
