OREANDA-NEWS. The State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of dairy products manufactured by Belarus' OJSC Babushkina Krynka and OJSC Dairy Products (from January 21, 2013), and OJSC Orsha dairy industrial complex (from January 23, 2013).

A notice to this effect has been posted on the official web site of the Ukrainian biosecurity authority.

The restrictions were introduced as the products of the said companies are not line with Ukraine's safety requirements with regard to certain microbiological and physical-chemical indicators.

The Ukrainian biosecurity watchdog did not disclose the concrete parameters that were not observed.

The service said that cargo arrived to Ukraine before the ban is to be registered after the enhanced veterinary control.

“The temporary restrictions could be cancelled when Belarus take proper measures and check the said companies,” reads the press release.

As reported, Ukraine banned imports of dairy products from Belarus in March 2012 as the large amount of antibiotics was revealed.
