OREANDA-NEWS. Fast Retailing Co. said that domestic same-store sales at its Uniqlo casual clothing store in January fell 5.5% on year, declining for the first time in three months.

The company blamed the decline on one fewer weekend day from the year earlier month, despite seeing strength in its winter clothing lineup such as its Heattech thermal underwear and ultra light down jackets.

The number of customer visits declined 1.3% on year.
