OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2013. In 2012, the greatest rate of the passenger traffic growth fell on the following destinations: Frankfurt (+69.4%), Verona (+38.82%), Bucharest (+35.46%), Istanbul (+30.19%), Moscow (+27.87%) and Tel-Aviv (+14.8%).

The most asked-for destinations in January, 2013 were Moscow (32.72%), Istanbul (15.91%), Verona (8.15%), Vienna (5.15%), Bucharest (4.69%) and Munich (4.26%). The Chisinau Airport International is the main air gateway of Moldova from which 17 companies are transporting passengers in 27 directions all over the world.

It partners with 13 overseas companies and 4 national carriers. Chisinau International Airport served 1220496 passengers in 2012; this is 16.67% more than in 2011 and a record-breaking number ever recorded in the company.
