OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2013. In January 2013, Ukrainian agrarians supplied into foreign markets more than 1.9 million tonnes of grain, keeping active exports. In particular, biggest share of export goes to corn, which in January was exported 1.5 million tonnes. That rate of supplies allows us to achieve projected export of crops in the current marketing year, which are now estimated at 23.2 million tonnes.

As of February 3, 2013 Ukraine exceeded 16 millionth turn of grain exports, putting abroad since the beginning of the marketing year 16.25 million tonnes of grain. Thus, since early 2013 year agrarians maintain dynamic growth of exports in order to achieve this projected marketing year exports of 23.2 million tonnes.

In particular, in January 2013 Ukraine exported 1.9 million tonnes of grain. Thus, the most active are the rate of supply to foreign markets domestic corn, which in January exported 1.5 million tons. Also in January, according to foreign contracts concluded earlier, was placed 175.5 thousand tons of wheat and 142.6 thousand tons of barley.

Ukrainian agricultural producers exported for the past month, nearly 360,000 tonnes of oilseeds, specifically, 144,000 tonnes of rape and 215.5 thousand tonnes of soybeans.

Through prudent policy on ensuring food security and export of grain, now fully satisfied the needs of the domestic market and successfully executed external contracts for external supplies.
