In connection with information appeared in some mass media regarding possible intentions to inspect the income of social networks from advertizing, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) would like to state that this information is incorrect, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS analyses markets on a regular basis upon FAS Order “On the Market Analysis Procedures”, regardless of possible violations.

“In 2013 we plan to determine technical and methodological approaches to analysis of the market of social networks. The analysis is scheduled for 2014; currently, no inspections are carried out and no inspections are scheduled”, explained Vladimir Kudryavtsev, the Head of FAS Department of Information Technologies.
