OREANDA-NEWS.   The monetary base in Azerbaijan backtracked from th record level in December with a decline of 6.4% by December 2012.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan informs that as of 1 February 2013 the monetary base amounted to AZN 9.8 bn (absolute record) versus AZN 10.515 bn (absolute record) by 1 January 2013.

The monetary base was equal to AZN 8.275 bn by 1 January 2012 and AZN 6.397 bn by 1 January 2011.

In 2011, the monetary base grew by 29.4%, and in 2012 its rise made up 27.06%.
