OREANDA-NEWS.  OJSC International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) and Asia House (one of the most influential business organizations of UK) have signed an agreement on awarding the status of Champion Supporter to the IBA.

The Bank’s press service informs that the IBA has been cooperating with Asia House for the last few years. Logical continuation of development of relationships between the two partners became the signing of the Agreement on the Bank’s new status in Asia House. In the status of Champion Supporter the Bank will be one of the Asia House main partners in the implementation of its key mission. The Bank also got the right to participate in making strategic decisions by Asia House management.

Several delegations of business people of Britain visited Baku in previous years under the auspices of Asia House and with IBA support, and IBA chairman of board Jahangir Hajiyev was accepted in members of the International Council of the Chamber.

At the end of November of 2012 the IBA with Asia House’s support and participation the Bank organized first conference Caspian Corridor Conference in London with great success. The conference purpose was to bring to the public and the business community of the UK the latest information on economy and culture of Azerbaijan.

Asia House was established in 1996. The main charter purpose of this organization is to build sustainable, dynamic relationships between the public and business community in Europe and Asia. Asia House’s members are well-known British and international companies such as BP, Barclays Capital, British American Tobacco, Deutsche Bank, DLA Piper, KPMG, Rolls-Royce, Shell International, Unilever, HSBC and others.
